Meeting with Lalu Prasad
On August 8, in Patna, actor and Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Shatrughan Sinha visited the residence of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad, where he expressed high regard for him, calling him a people's leader and a genuinely good person. Sinha mentioned that he had an extensive conversation with Prasad and his wife, Rabri Devi. He told reporters, 'I came here solely to meet Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi.'
A Long-Standing Friendship
'Lalu Ji is an old family friend of mine; he is a prominent politician and a true leader. Above all, he is a wonderful human being. Whenever I visit Patna, I make it a point to meet him,' Sinha remarked.
Family Absence
The TMC MP noted that he could not meet Lalu Prasad's sons, Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav, as they were out of town for important commitments. However, he emphasized that he had meaningful discussions with Lalu Ji and Rabri Ji.
Political Journey
Sinha began his political career with the BJP before briefly joining Congress and later moving to TMC. He recently criticized the central government's handling of student protests regarding the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) paper leak and praised Rahul Gandhi for supporting the students.
