Sharad Pawar's Meeting with Prime Minister Modi

On Wednesday, Sharad Pawar, the leader of the NCP (SCP), had a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Parliament. Accompanying him was Supriya Sule, the MP from Baramati. Both Pawar and Sule participated in a protest at Jantar Mantar on Tuesday, where the CJP continued its demonstration against the NEET-UG paper leak. The party has expressed support for the demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Pawar Urges Government to Address Concerns

During the meeting, Pawar urged the central government to take the demands of the protesters seriously and act accordingly. He emphasized that the Indian Constitution safeguards the rights of every citizen, and the government and administration must be accountable to the public. Instead of suppressing peaceful protests by students and citizens, the government should engage thoughtfully with their demands and take appropriate actions.

Supriya Sule Denies Merger Speculations

Last week, Supriya Sule, the executive president of NCP (SCP), dismissed rumors regarding a merger with the NDA or any other party. Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, she stated that neither she nor any senior leaders, including Pawar, Jayant Patil, Anil Deshmukh, or Rajesh Tope, have received any proposals from other parties, including the BJP, Congress, or any NDA allies.
