Safety Measures Implemented Ahead of Holi

In preparation for the Holi festival, a mosque in Shahjahanpur has been covered with tarpaulin and plastic sheets as a precautionary measure to maintain communal harmony and prevent any untoward incidents. District Magistrate and Collector Dharmendra Pratap Singh stated that adequate arrangements have been made for the peaceful celebration of the festival. Speaking to a news media outlet, Singh mentioned, "In Shahjahanpur, processions of 'Bade Lar Sahib' and 'Chhote Lar Sahib' will take place. Proper arrangements have been made to ensure the festival proceeds peacefully.

He further added that the administration is closely monitoring the situation and has implemented necessary precautions to maintain law and order during the festivities. Earlier in the day, Uttar Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak also extended his greetings for Holi, describing it as a joyous festival that brings happiness to everyone’s lives. Pathak expressed, "On this auspicious occasion of Holi, I extend heartfelt wishes to the people of the state. Holi is a festival of colors, and I pray to God that it brings joy to all."

This festival is deeply rooted in Hindu mythology and symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. Holi begins with the ritual of Holika Dahan, followed by the widely celebrated festival the next day, where people immerse themselves in joy and unity through the playful throwing of colors.
