Shahberi Route Set to Reopen Soon After Road Widening Completion

Shahberi Route Reopening Update
Residents are eagerly anticipating the reopening of the Shahberi route, which has been closed since March 25 for expansion work. This important link connects Gaur City in Noida to Crossing Republik in Ghaziabad. Initially, the project was expected to take around 20 days.
According to reports, the roadwork on Shahberi is nearing completion and is expected to wrap up within a week. The section from Greater Noida West to Crossing Republik has been finished, while the other lane is in its final stages.
Prerna Singh, the ACEO of Greater Noida Authority, stated that the widening of the road connecting Sector-4 of Greater Noida West to Crossing Republik will be finalized soon, alleviating traffic congestion in Shahberi. Additionally, drainage systems have been installed to manage water runoff.
Previously, the road starting from the Iteda roundabout in Greater Noida West was only about 3 meters wide, causing regular traffic jams due to its single-lane configuration. To remedy this, the Greater Noida Authority initiated the widening of the approximately 1.5-kilometer-long Shahberi Road on March 25. The project involves constructing a robust RCC road with drainage on both sides, with a budget of Rs 3 crore. Once completed, commuting between Greater Noida West and Crossing Republik will be significantly easier.
