SG Pipers Triumph in Women's Hockey India League Final

In a gripping finale, SG Pipers emerged victorious against Shrachi Bengal Tigers, winning 3-2 in a shootout after a 1-1 draw in regulation time. Goals were scored by Preeti Dubey (53') for SG Pipers and Lalremsiami (16') for Shrachi Bengal Tigers. Key contributions from Captain Navneet Kaur, Juana Castellaro, and Lola Riera, along with crucial saves by Bansari Solanki, secured the championship for SG Pipers.


Prize Money and Individual Awards

The Hockey India League announced significant prize money: Rs 1.5 Crore for the champions SG Pipers, Rs 1 Crore for the runners-up Shrachi Bengal Tigers, and Rs 50 Lakh for the third-place team, Ranchi Royals, who also received the Fairplay Award.


Bansari Solanki of SG Pipers was honored as the Best Goalkeeper, while teammate Sunelita Toppo was recognized as the Upcoming Player, with both receiving Rs 5 lakh.
