Recent severe weather conditions in Uttar Pradesh have resulted in significant destruction. Dust storms, hailstorms, and lightning strikes have led to the tragic loss of 89 lives. In response to this calamity, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken the situation very seriously, directing the administration to expedite relief efforts and provide immediate financial assistance to those affected.
According to government reports, on May 13, adverse weather, including storms, rain, hail, and lightning, resulted in 89 fatalities across the state, with 53 individuals injured, 114 livestock lost, and 87 homes damaged.

Significant damage has been reported from districts such as Prayagraj, Bhadohi, Kanpur Dehat, and Fatehpur. Acknowledging the gravity of the situation, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed officials to accelerate relief and rescue operations in the affected areas.
Zero Tolerance for Negligence
CM Yogi Adityanath emphasized that any negligence towards the victims will not be tolerated. He has directed all district magistrates to personally meet with families affected by the storm and heavy rainfall to ensure they receive all possible assistance.

The Chief Minister has also ordered officials to promptly assess the damage to life and property, ensuring that compensation is distributed to affected families within 24 hours.

Following the directives from CM Yogi, the Relief Commissioner’s office is closely monitoring the situation across all districts. Administrative officials have been placed on high alert, and senior officials have been instructed to personally oversee ongoing rescue operations at affected sites.
