Rajouri: The district of Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir has once again faced the wrath of nature. Intense rainfall and a cloudburst have wreaked havoc in the region, leading to significant destruction. The cloudburst resulted in the flooding of a cemetery, the washing away of several vehicles, and the temporary suspension of the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage for safety reasons.

Sudden heavy rainfall struck various areas of Rajouri, culminating in a cloudburst. This event caused the local cemetery to be completely submerged. The walls of the cemetery collapsed, and numerous graves were swept away by the rushing waters.
Additionally, several parked vehicles were also carried away by the floodwaters. Local residents reported attempts to rescue some vehicles, but the strong current led to many cars being submerged.
Suspension of Vaishno Devi Pilgrimage
Due to the cloudburst and heavy rainfall, the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage has been temporarily halted for safety considerations. The shrine board has urged pilgrims to postpone their journeys until the weather stabilizes.
