The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings for strong winds, rainfall, hailstorms, and heavy downpours in northern, northeastern, eastern, and southern regions over the coming days. The instability in weather is attributed to an active western disturbance, with rain expected in Delhi today.


Delhi's Weather Forecast

In Delhi, the maximum temperature is projected to reach 33 degrees Celsius, while the minimum is expected to be around 19 degrees Celsius. Following the rainfall on May 4, the weather has become pleasant, providing significant relief from the heat. According to the IMD, on May 6, the sky will be partially cloudy with a possibility of thunderstorms and light rain.


Alert for Thunderstorms in Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh is experiencing a weather turnaround, with alerts issued for thunderstorms and rain in over 40 districts. The IMD forecasts similar weather conditions for the next five days. Yesterday, heavy winds and rain were reported in 22 districts, including Lucknow and Kanpur, with Sambhal recording 130 mm of rainfall.


Weather Update for Bihar

Bihar and Jharkhand have also received alerts for rainfall today. Warnings have been issued for several districts in Bihar, including Patna, Darbhanga, and Bhagalpur. Rain was reported in Patna and other areas yesterday, and heavy rainfall along with strong winds is expected until May 6. An orange alert for rain has been issued for several districts in Jharkhand, including Dumka and Deoghar.

Madhya Pradesh is also set to experience rain today, with alerts for thunderstorms and rain issued for 39 districts. The IMD indicates that these weather conditions will persist for the next four days, providing relief from the heat. Additionally, several districts in Rajasthan are likely to see rain and strong winds today.


Snowfall Predictions in Northern Regions

In Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, there is a forecast for rain and snowfall until May 8. The weather department has warned of heavy rainfall in certain areas of Uttarakhand. Parts of Odisha and West Bengal are also expected to experience heavy rain and thunderstorms.
