Tornado Causes Destruction in North Texas
On Tuesday, North Texas experienced severe weather, including a confirmed tornado that wreaked havoc east of Mineral Wells, accompanied by large hail in surrounding areas. Storm chasers reported significant destruction in Wolters Village, where a powerful rain-wrapped tornado passed through. The Weatherford region also faced severe conditions due to the storms.

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth indicated that a tornado warning was active for southeastern Parker County until 6:15 PM CDT. At 5:59 PM, a severe thunderstorm capable of generating a tornado was detected near Annetta, approximately 9 miles southeast of Weatherford, moving southeast at 25 mph. Forecasters alerted residents to potential hazards, including a tornado and hailstones reaching two inches in diameter. Areas in the storm's trajectory included Aledo, Annetta, Cresson, Annetta South, and Annetta North.
Officials warned that flying debris could pose serious risks to life and urged residents to seek immediate shelter in a robust building, preferably in an interior room on the lowest floor, away from windows. Severe thunderstorms and tornado-producing systems affected northeastern Texas, including the Dallas–Fort Worth area, extending into southern Oklahoma and northwestern Louisiana, including Shreveport. The National Weather Service issued multiple watches and warnings as perilous conditions unfolded across the region.
