Severe Sentencing for Preeti Sharma in Husband's Murder Case
Court Delivers Harsh Punishment
In Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, the court has imposed a stringent sentence on Preeti Sharma, who was convicted of murdering her husband in collaboration with her lover. The Additional District Judge's court sentenced both Preeti and her accomplice Yogesh to life imprisonment along with a fine of one lakh rupees each. Following this ruling, the convicted couple will spend the rest of their lives behind bars.
Details of the Case
According to Assistant District Government Advocate Praveendra Singh Lodhi, Preeti Sharma was involved with Yogesh, a resident of Nojalpur in the Ramghat police area. Yogesh frequently visited Rajkumar's home, where he had been living for nearly a year, leading to ongoing disputes between him and Rajkumar.
Murder Committed with Brutal Force
The incident occurred on the night of February 10, 2019, when Yogesh, Preeti, and their accomplice Babbi Lal attacked Rajkumar with sticks and other weapons, resulting in fatal injuries that led to his immediate death. Rajkumar's mother, Sushila Sharma, filed a police report, prompting a thorough investigation that culminated in charges being filed in the Anupshahr ADJ court.
Crucial DNA Evidence
During the trial, a DNA report emerged as a significant piece of evidence. Rajkumar had doubts about his wife's fidelity and the paternity of their child, leading him to undergo DNA testing, which returned negative results. This revelation escalated tensions between the couple. After meticulously reviewing the solid evidence, eyewitness testimonies, and medical reports, ADJ Rajesh Kumar III found Preeti and Yogesh guilty of murder, sentencing them to life imprisonment and fines.
