On Tuesday, Navi Mumbai faced significant waterlogging due to intense rainfall, causing major traffic delays for commuters and office workers throughout the city.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for the districts of Raigad, Thane, and Ratnagiri.

Flight operations have also been disrupted due to the heavy rains, leading to the closure of several subways. IndiGo Airlines issued a travel advisory on X, stating: "Currently, there is a heavy downpour over #Mumbai, causing temporary disruptions to flight schedules. If you are traveling today, please anticipate potential delays and allow extra time for your journey, especially as traffic is moving slower than usual. We are closely monitoring the situation and will ensure you are airborne as soon as possible. Please check your flight status at our app or website before heading out. The Mumbai traffic police have also issued alerts to the public via their social media account on X, stating, "Due to two feet of water accumulation, the Andheri Subway in Andheri West has been closed to traffic and has been diverted via Gokhale Bridge."
