Pollution Levels Soar in Delhi-NCR
New Delhi, December 31, 2025: On the final day of the year, residents of Delhi-NCR are grappling with the dual challenges of pollution and dense fog. According to the Sameer app and the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi is recorded around 383-384, categorizing it as 'Very Poor.' In several areas, the AQI has reached 'Severe' levels.
As of 6 AM, data from 38 active monitoring stations in Delhi indicates that pollution levels are alarmingly high. Fifteen areas have AQI readings in the dark red zone (above 400), while 23 areas are under a red alert (300-400). The worst affected area is Anand Vihar, where the AQI peaked at 452. The least polluted area was NSIT Dwarka, with an AQI of 297.
