Delhi residents should prepare for continued hot and humid conditions until June 13. According to IMD scientist Akhil Srivastava, temperatures are expected to exceed 45°C on Tuesday, leading to heatwave conditions in some areas.
“In Northwest India, most subdivisions, particularly in the plains, are likely to experience heatwave conditions over the next four days. In the Delhi NCR region, temperatures are expected to rise above 45 degrees Celsius today and tomorrow, prompting a yellow alert,” Srivastava stated.
Additionally, based on current data, the IMD has issued an orange alert for heatwave conditions on Wednesday and Thursday, while a yellow alert for thunderstorms with rain has been issued for Friday and Saturday.
