Severe Heat Wave and Heavy Rainfall Forecast Across India

IMD Weather LIVE Updates: The heat continues to be relentless, with temperatures soaring above 40 degrees Celsius in various states. In many areas of Delhi/NCR, the temperature has surpassed 43°C. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings for extreme heat in West Rajasthan from June 10 to 13.
Residents are advised to prepare for heat wave conditions expected in Jammu-Kashmir from June 10 to 12, Punjab from June 10 to 13, and in Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and West Uttar Pradesh from June 10 to 12. Additionally, East Uttar Pradesh will experience heat on June 10, while East Rajasthan and northern Madhya Pradesh will face similar conditions on June 10 and 11. Conversely, several regions in the Northeast, including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura, are dealing with waterlogging due to heavy rainfall.
The IMD has predicted that heavy rains will persist in these areas throughout the week. Uttarakhand is also expected to see significant rainfall, which may disrupt daily life until June 15. Thunderstorms and rain are anticipated over the Andaman & Nicobar Islands on June 11 and 12, as well as in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on June 12, 14, and 15, and Odisha on June 10, 14, and 15.
