Severe Heat and Dusty Winds Expected Across Multiple Regions: IMD Update

IMD Weather LIVE Update: In the upcoming days, numerous areas are set to experience intense heat along with dusty winds. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Yellow alert for a heat wave in Delhi, effective from June 9th to 11th. Residents should prepare for clear skies and strong surface winds throughout the National Capital Region this week.
Other regions that are likely to endure extreme heat include West Rajasthan, Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and South West Uttar Pradesh from June 9th to 11th; East Uttar Pradesh and East Rajasthan on June 9th and 10th; and North Madhya Pradesh on June 10th and 11th. Additionally, areas in Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal will face hot and humid conditions today, with Bihar experiencing similar weather until June 10th.
The IMD has predicted a combination of rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds in the week ahead. Heavy rainfall is anticipated in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal, as well as Kerala and Mahe from June 10th to 14th; Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema from June 11th to 14th; and Karnataka from June 12th to 14th. Notably, Northeast India is expected to receive significant rainfall over the next week, particularly affecting Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
