On Saturday afternoon, a powerful dust storm swept through Bikaner, Rajasthan, enveloping parts of the city in thick clouds of dust and significantly reducing visibility. Footage shared from the area showed dense clouds of dust swirling across the streets due to strong winds, turning the sky a deep orange-brown and forcing residents to seek shelter indoors. The intense winds also caused trees to sway violently. This dust storm is part of a broader pattern of unstable weather affecting northwestern India, where many regions have experienced severe heat followed by strong winds, dust storms, and sporadic rainfall.
