Cold Wave and Dense Fog in Rajasthan

Many regions in Rajasthan are experiencing intense cold, with thick fog covering several areas on Monday morning. The meteorological department has predicted further drops in temperature and continued fog in the coming days.

According to the Jaipur weather center, moderate to dense fog was recorded in various locations over the past 24 hours, with some areas experiencing cold and extreme cold days.

During this period, the lowest temperatures were noted at 4.1 degrees Celsius in Vansathali, 5.4 degrees in Sirohi, Dausa, and Ganganagar, 5.5 degrees in Sikar, 5.6 degrees in Pali, and 5.8 degrees in Ajmer. Many parts of the capital, Jaipur, were shrouded in fog, while dense fog was also reported in Bikaner, Kota, and Udaipur divisions.

The drop in temperature and lack of sunshine have disrupted daily life, with vehicles on highways moving at reduced speeds. Residents are relying on bonfires to stay warm, and the administration has set up several night shelters in urban areas.

The weather department indicates that dry conditions are expected in the state over the next few days, with a potential further decrease of one to two degrees in minimum temperatures. Additionally, cold waves may affect certain areas, and dense fog is likely to persist during the mornings.
