Hamirpur:
A typical reprimand regarding cartoon watching escalated into a distressing situation for a family in the Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh when a seven-year-old girl went missing without anyone noticing.
The event unfolded in a village within the Bhoranj area. According to police reports, the girl's mother, who was at home with her three children, instructed her eldest daughter to stop watching cartoons and eat her meal. This reprimand seemingly upset the young girl, prompting her to quietly leave the house while her mother was occupied with chores.
As time passed without the child returning, the family became increasingly anxious and contacted the Bhoranj police station. Due to the child's young age, law enforcement treated the situation as urgent and promptly initiated a search operation.
Police teams reviewed CCTV footage from surrounding areas and interviewed local residents to track the girl's whereabouts. After approximately four hours of diligent searching, the police located the child about 5 kilometers from her home.
Fortunately, the girl was safely brought back to her parents, who expressed immense relief and gratitude towards the police for their swift action. Superintendent of Police Balbir Singh noted that the quick response and effective use of surveillance footage were crucial in locating the child quickly, thereby averting any potential harm.
