Seven-Year-Old Girl Assaulted by Neighbor in Delhi Colony

On Monday, a seven-year-old girl was reportedly assaulted by a neighbor in a colony located in the national capital, Delhi, as confirmed by local police.

The 26-year-old suspect was apprehended after being beaten by residents of the area, according to police officials.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Raja Bantiya stated that the incident occurred in the morning while the girl was playing outside her home. After the incident, the victim informed her parents, who then went to confront the accused.

Bantiya further explained that the local community intervened, capturing the suspect and administering a beating. The victim is currently undergoing a medical examination, and a formal case has been registered. Meanwhile, the accused, who resides in the same neighborhood, is receiving treatment for his injuries at a local hospital. Investigations are ongoing.
