"Punjab Kings cannot afford to lose this match against Lucknow. This is their last chance. They have had ample opportunities to secure a playoff spot but have failed to capitalize on them," Sehwag remarked. He pointed out the team's inconsistent performances, particularly during critical moments with both bat and ball. "Their batting has faltered at crucial times, and their bowling has shown a lack of discipline. Sometimes, winning too many games can lead to a downturn, and Punjab has recently faced that challenge. The conditions in Dharamsala were not favorable for them, and they struggled to adjust," he added.
Potential Advantage for Punjab in Lucknow
Sehwag noted that the playing conditions in Lucknow might be more favorable for Punjab, but he cautioned that the Lucknow Super Giants are still a formidable opponent. "The conditions in Lucknow could work in their favor. However, Lucknow is a dangerous team with a lineup full of match-winners, and they have nothing to lose. This freedom can make them unpredictable," he stated.

He further emphasized the psychological burden on Punjab as they head into this match. "They will play under pressure, while Lucknow will have the freedom to play without any weight on their shoulders. This match will test their nerves as much as their skills. If Punjab wants to keep their hopes alive, they must perform at their best in every aspect of the game," Sehwag concluded.

In other news, LSG opener Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out of the final league match against PBKS at the Ekana Stadium. According to reports, Marsh, who has scored multiple centuries this season, will not participate, although the reason for his absence has not yet been disclosed.
