In a recent anti-terror operation in the Surankote sub-district of Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir, security forces successfully seized grenades, ammunition, and other suspicious materials. This operation took place near the Marha area of Behramgala, where the forces initiated a search following reports of potential terrorist activities. Authorities confirmed that the operation resulted in the confiscation of three grenades, twenty rounds of ammunition, a wire cutter, a knife, charging cables, and batteries.

According to an official statement, a joint anti-terror operation was conducted by the Poonch police's Special Operations Group (SOG) and the Indian Army's Romeo Force. This operation led to the discovery of a hideout in Marha, where the aforementioned items were recovered. The search was prompted by intelligence reports of suspicious activities in the area. As of the latest updates, the search operation is still ongoing.
Continued Search Efforts in Kishtwar
Meanwhile, security forces are continuing their search operations in the forested areas of Kishtwar district, where terrorists are believed to be hiding. This operation has now entered its third day, as reported by officials. To strengthen the cordon around the area, additional personnel have been deployed. The operation commenced following an encounter between terrorists and security forces in the dense forests of Kanjal Mandu in the Kachhal-Chhatru region on Wednesday. Based on intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists, the police, with assistance from the army and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), initiated a cordon and search operation around 7:45 PM, which led to an engagement with the terrorists.
