Security Forces Thwart Major Terror Plot Near Jammu and Kashmir Border
Major Terrorist Conspiracy Foiled
In the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, security forces have successfully disrupted a significant terrorist plot originating from Pakistan near the international border. Authorities reported that a cache of weapons was dropped via drone from the Pakistani side in an area close to the border.
The recovered items include two pistols, three magazines, 16 cartridges, and a grenade, among other materials. Officials have heightened security measures to prevent any attempts by terrorists to disrupt the upcoming Republic Day celebrations.
Joint Operation by Security Forces
Following reports of suspicious drone activity from across the border, a joint team comprising the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police initiated a search operation late Friday night in the Palora village of the Ghagwal area.
Details of the Recovery
During the search, the team discovered a packet wrapped in yellow tape along the edge of a drain, which was opened with the assistance of a bomb disposal squad. The packet contained the aforementioned weapons.
As of the latest updates, the search operation is still ongoing.

Officials have indicated that terrorists are likely planning to disrupt this national event.
