Major Arms Recovery in Manipur

 In a significant operation, security forces in Manipur have recovered more than 300 rifles along with a substantial cache of weapons and ammunition from five districts in the Imphal Valley. This information was confirmed by an official on Saturday.


The official stated that the coordinated operation, which took place during the midnight hours between Friday and Saturday, was based on intelligence inputs. It involved a joint effort by the Manipur police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), and the army.


Among the seized items were 151 Self-Loading Rifles (SLRs), 65 INSAS rifles, 73 other types of rifles, five carbines, two MP5 guns, 12 light machine guns, six AK series rifles, two Amogh rifles, one mortar, six pistols, one AR-15, and two flare guns.
