In the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, security forces commenced a search operation on Wednesday after local residents reported suspicious activities linked to potential terrorists. Officials confirmed the operation is ongoing, but no leads have been found regarding the individuals, who were reportedly dressed in military uniforms.


Community Alert Leads to Swift Action

Some villagers observed suspicious figures near a school close to Nud village during the night and promptly alerted the police. In response, joint teams from the police and army quickly cordoned off the area and initiated the search operation early in the morning.


Administrative Changes in Jammu and Kashmir

In another significant development related to Jammu and Kashmir, the government has ordered the transfer and appointment of 135 J&K Administrative Service (JKAS) officers across various departments and districts as part of a major administrative reshuffle. A government order stated that these transfers and appointments are effective immediately in the interest of administration. Bashir Ahmad Dar, JKAS, has been transferred and appointed as Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission against the available vacancy.
