IED Found During Joint Operation in Rajouri

During a coordinated search operation in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, security forces successfully located a suspected improvised explosive device (IED), which was subsequently neutralized safely.


Officials provided this update on Thursday, revealing that the operation was initiated on Wednesday following reports of suspicious activities in the Kallar forest area of Dori Mal in Thanamandi.


During the search, security personnel uncovered some questionable materials, which were thoroughly examined. The identified suspicious item weighed approximately four kilograms and was confirmed to be an IED.


The device was then destroyed in a controlled manner. Additionally, several shell casings were recovered from the site and have been secured. Authorities indicated that an extensive search operation in the area is still ongoing.
