Militant Arrests in Manipur

Security personnel have apprehended eight militants linked to various banned organizations across three districts in Manipur, as reported by the police on Saturday. The authorities revealed that a cadre from the 'People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak' (PREPAK-VC-Red Army) was detained on Friday in Maharabi, located in the Imphal West district. Additionally, two members of the 'Socialist Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak' (SOREPA) were captured in the Umathal area of Kakching.


An official stated that on Thursday, three members of the 'Kangleipak Communist Party (People's War Group)' were arrested from different locations in Imphal West. Furthermore, on Friday, two members of the banned KCP (Taibangnaba) were taken into custody from Fumloub Mamang Leikai in Imphal West and Keib Khullen village in Imphal East. The investigation into these arrests is ongoing.
