A security alert was activated at the Industry Bhawan in New Delhi following the receipt of a threatening email. The message warned of a potential bomb attack using an improvised explosive device (IED). This email was directed to the Secretary of the Ministry of Heavy Industries, claiming that a suicide IED would be deployed within the premises of the Industry Bhawan.

Heightened Security in High-Security Area

Located in a high-security zone of the national capital, the Industry Bhawan is surrounded by significant government buildings, including the Parliament House and the President's residence. The Ministry of Heavy Industries and various other government departments operate from this location. In response to the threat, the central secretary instructed the assistant commandant of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) to take immediate and appropriate action. As a precaution, the building was evacuated, and security measures in the surrounding area were intensified, with officials taking all necessary precautions.
