Sayali Satghare Shines as SOBO Mumbai Falcons Secure Victory in Women's T20 League
Falcons Dominate with Strong Bowling Performance
In the inaugural Nuvama Private T20 Mumbai Women's League, Indian cricket star Sayali Satghare showcased her exceptional skills once again on Wednesday. She led her team, SOBO Mumbai Falcons, to a convincing seven-wicket victory over Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs, marking their second consecutive win in the tournament.
Satghare's bowling was instrumental, as she took four wickets, making an impact right from the first over and putting the Tigers under pressure. Her disciplined bowling, combined with the Falcons' overall strong performance, kept the opposition from gaining any momentum.
Teenage sensation Swara Jadhav also made her mark, claiming three wickets for just 19 runs, effectively dismantling the middle order and stifling any chance of recovery for the Tigers.
Aakash Tigers Struggle with Batting
Choosing to bat first, Aakash Tigers faced a tough challenge against the relentless bowling of the Falcons. Sanika Chalke was the top scorer with 21 runs, but the rest of the batting lineup struggled to contribute significantly. The Tigers could only manage a total of 113 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their 20 overs, failing to form any substantial partnerships.
Falcons' Steady Chase
In response, the Falcons quickly bounced back from a shaky start. Simran Shaikh scored 23 runs, while substitute Sarika Koli remained unbeaten at 33. Captain Satghare also contributed with an unbeaten 30 runs, leading the team to a comfortable victory with 25 balls to spare. The duo of Satghare and Koli formed a solid partnership, adding 64 runs without losing their wickets.
Men's Competition: ARCS Andheri Triumphs
In the men's competition held earlier, SOBO Mumbai Falcons faced a setback, losing to Shivam Dube's ARCS Andheri by five wickets. After choosing to field, Dube excelled with three wickets, while Ajay Mishra matched his performance with another three wickets. The Falcons were bowled out for 126 runs in 18.2 overs, with wicketkeeper Aditya Tare scoring a commendable 59 runs off 39 balls, but lacking support from his teammates.
Andheri's chase was led by Divyansh Saxena, who scored a quick 50 runs off 33 balls, supported by Pragnesh Kanpillewar (26) and Prasad Pawar (21), allowing them to secure victory with six overs remaining.
