His captaincy was marked by a remarkable achievement of 11 consecutive T20I series wins and six clean sweeps against teams such as West Indies, Sri Lanka, Australia, New Zealand, and Scotland.

Historic ICC Achievements

One of Sarfaraz's most notable accomplishments was guiding Pakistan to victory in the ICC Champions Trophy in 2017, where they defeated India by 180 runs in the final held at The Oval in England. This victory made him the first captain from Pakistan to win the Champions Trophy and the only captain to secure ICC titles at both junior and senior levels, having previously led the U19 team to victory in the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup in 2006.

Sarfaraz Reflects on His Journey

"Representing Pakistan has been the greatest honor of my life. From leading the U19 team to a world title in 2006 to lifting the ICC Champions Trophy in 2017, every moment has been special. I am thankful to my teammates, coaches, family, and fans for their unwavering support throughout my career. Captaining Pakistan across all formats was a dream come true. I aimed to play fearless cricket and foster a united team. Witnessing players like Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi evolve into match-winners during my captaincy is among my proudest achievements. I appreciate the Pakistan Cricket Board for their trust in me over the years. Pakistan cricket will always hold a special place in my heart, and I will continue to support the game in every way possible," Sarfaraz Ahmed expressed.
