In 2022, Saraya parted ways with WWE during the Vince McMahon era, a move that surprised many. Following her exit, she joined All Elite Wrestling (AEW) to reclaim her wrestling identity, although she feels unfulfilled with her current trajectory, believing she has more to offer in the ring.

While promoting her book, *Hell in Boots: Clawing My Way Through Nine Lives*, Saraya shared insights with a Media Channel editor about her future plans after reaching a mutual agreement to leave AEW. She expressed interest in exploring various non-wrestling opportunities.

Looking ahead, Saraya intends to focus on training over the next year to shake off any ring rust. With guidance from veterans like Natalya Neidhart, she aims to rediscover her full potential and revive her rebellious character from her NXT days.

“I want to get back in the swing of things. I want to go back to that girl that was in NXT that was having these matches against Nattie and doing freaking… Just wrestling. I need to find myself again there,” Saraya stated.

“So, I feel like the next year that I am going to have, I’m going to take a step outside of the actual wrestling world. But I am still going to train and I’m going to build myself back up.”

Challenges Faced During AEW Tenure

During her time in AEW, Saraya revealed that her wrestling performance was hindered by subconscious fears stemming from a serious neck injury that had previously ended her career. This apprehension limited her ability to fully engage in matches. However, she is determined that if she makes another comeback, she wants to showcase her true talent.

Having started wrestling at the age of 13 under the ring name Britany Knight for her family's World Association of Wrestling (WAW) in the UK, Saraya's passion for the sport has always been evident. This dedication led her to become the inaugural WWE NXT Women's Champion and later the WWE Divas Champion at just 21 years old.
