Sanjay Raut's Concerns Over PM Modi's Diplomatic Role
Sanjay Raut, a member of the Shiv Sena, expressed on Wednesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not clearly defined his role regarding the all-party delegations sent to various parts of the world following Operation Sindoor. He emphasized that the Prime Minister frequently organizes such events. On Tuesday, PM Modi met with members of seven parliamentary delegations dispatched to key partner nations. During a press interaction on Wednesday, Raut raised questions about whether the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan was made under pressure from former U.S. President Donald Trump.
Raut Critiques Government's Stance on POK
Raut reiterated that the Prime Minister has yet to clarify his position. He stated that the nation wants to know if the ceasefire between India and Pakistan was influenced by Trump’s pressure. Speaking on the issue of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK), Raut criticized the central government, asserting that the 1.4 billion citizens of India believed Modi would reclaim POK and deliver a blow to Pakistan that it would not recover from.
Vision of a Unified India
He further elaborated that the sentiment among the populace was that Modi would take back POK, leading to a fragmented Pakistan. Raut envisioned a scenario where they would travel to Lahore and Karachi, realizing the dream of a unified India. He claimed that Modi would fulfill the aspirations of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, which have yet to materialize. The delegations, comprising MPs from various parties, former MPs, and distinguished diplomats, highlighted India's stance against terrorism and its commitment to global peace during their international visits.
Diplomatic Efforts Against Terrorism
Seven groups of representatives from all parties, including NCP's Supriya Sule, Congress's Shashi Tharoor, AIMIM's Asaduddin Owaisi, and former ambassadors, completed their diplomatic missions to various world capitals, promoting India's zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. The formation of these delegations followed Operation Sindoor, which was India's response to the Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir that resulted in the deaths of 26 tourists.
