Sanjay Raut Critiques Government's Diplomatic Strategy
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has raised concerns regarding the government's decision to send MPs abroad to inform other nations about Operation Sindoor and the military tensions with Pakistan. He likened this initiative to a wedding procession. The government plans to dispatch seven delegations comprising MPs from various parties to multiple countries at the end of this month. The aim is to clarify India's stance on the recent conflict and to exert diplomatic pressure on Islamabad for harboring cross-border terrorism.

Meanwhile, NCP (SP) president Sharad Pawar criticized Raut on Monday, advising him to keep local politics out of India's global outreach efforts. This remark came a day after Raut called for a boycott of the government's initiative to send delegations to various countries. Pawar recalled his experience as a member of a delegation sent to the United Nations under former Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao, led by BJP leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Speaking to the media in Baramati, the former defense minister emphasized the importance of avoiding party politics when addressing international issues. He noted that the central government has formed several delegations tasked with representing India's position regarding the Pahalgam attack and subsequent activities from Pakistan. Notably, Raut had stated on Sunday that the components of the India Block should have boycotted the government's initiative to send all-party delegations abroad, claiming they would defend the government's "sins and crimes."
