On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Sunil Dutt's passing, his children, Sanjay Dutt and Priya Dutt, expressed their love and memories through heartfelt social media posts.
Sanjay Dutt shared a collection of nostalgic childhood images on Saturday, reflecting on their bond. In an emotional message, he stated, 'You didn’t just raise me; you taught me how to stand tall during tough times. I love you, Dad, and miss you every day.'
Their relationship was poignantly portrayed in the 2018 film 'Sanju,' featuring Ranbir Kapoor.
Priya Dutt's Touching Remembrance
Priya Dutt also took to social media, sharing her own touching tribute filled with cherished memories. She wrote, 'Dad, your smile reassured us that everything was alright. You were our unwavering support, guiding us with values of humility, gratitude, compassion, and love. You taught us that true recognition comes from good deeds, not wealth or status. Your legacy is one of love, remembered fondly by everyone you encountered. I am proud to be your daughter.'
She concluded her message with, 'I miss you, but you are always with me in everything I do.'
Sunil Dutt's Legacy
Sunil Dutt passed away in 2005 due to a heart attack. He gained fame with the iconic film 'Mother India' in 1957, and his notable works include 'Sujata,' 'Mujhe Jeene Do,' 'Waqt,' 'Padosan,' and 'Reshma Aur Shera.'
In 1984, he joined the Congress party and served as a Member of Parliament for five consecutive terms.
His love story with actress Nargis began on the set of 'Mother India,' where he heroically saved her from a fire. They married on March 11, 1958, and had three children: Sanjay, Priya, and Namrata. Nargis passed away from pancreatic cancer in 1981.
Sunil Dutt's final film appearance was in 'Munna Bhai M.B.B.S,' where he starred alongside his son Sanjay.
