Samrat Choudhary's Commitment to Bihar's Development

Samrat Choudhary has officially assumed the role of Chief Minister of Bihar, vowing to implement a governance model inspired by Modi and Nitish. Upon taking the oath, he announced his immediate commitment to work for the state, emphasizing that the successful governance in Bihar will be based on the "Modi-Nitish model."

Following the resignation of Nitish Kumar and his transition to the Rajya Sabha, Choudhary's appointment marks a significant shift in the state's political landscape, coinciding with the BJP's rise to power. He wasted no time in initiating administrative tasks right after the ceremony. Supporters gathered outside Lok Bhawan in Patna, chanting slogans, while Choudhary reiterated that the governance would align entirely with the Modi-Nitish framework.

Central Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi expressed confidence in the new Chief Minister, stating that Choudhary would carry forward Nitish Kumar's legacy and address any shortcomings. He noted that with Kumar having led the government for two decades, there is faith that Choudhary will rectify any issues and propel Bihar forward. Manjhi also acknowledged that his own political journey has been shaped with Kumar's support.

BJP leader Dilip Jaiswal welcomed this development, asserting that Choudhary will work towards realizing the vision of a developed Bihar under Kumar's guidance.

This marks a historic moment for Bihar, as it is the first time the BJP has secured the Chief Minister position after years of being part of the ruling NDA coalition. Previously, Nitish Kumar remained in power even after electoral victories, but his move to the Rajya Sabha has opened the door for the BJP to take the lead. Choudhary has previously served as Deputy Chief Minister in Kumar's administration. Following his elevation, JDU leaders Vijay Kumar Choudhary and Bijendra Kumar Yadav were sworn in as Deputy Chief Ministers. Nitish Kumar had long hinted at his desire for Choudhary to take on a significant leadership role in the state.
