Salman Ali Agha Reprimanded for Conduct Violation

Salman Ali Agha, a player from Pakistan, has received an official reprimand for violating Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during the second ODI against Bangladesh held in Dhaka on Friday. The ICC reported that Agha breached Article 2.2, which pertains to the misuse of cricket equipment, clothing, or ground fixtures during an international match. As a result, he has incurred one demerit point on his disciplinary record, marking his first offense in the last two years.

Incident Details

The incident took place during the 39th over of Pakistan's innings when Agha, after being run out, threw his batting gloves and helmet to the ground in a manner deemed inappropriate. He acknowledged the offense and accepted the penalty suggested by Neeyamur Rashid Rahul, a member of the Emirates ICC International Panel of Match Referees, eliminating the need for a formal hearing.

The on-field umpires, Adrian Holdstock and Tanvir Ahmed, along with third umpire Kumar Dharmasena and fourth umpire Masudur Rahman Mukul, were responsible for levying the charge.

Understanding Level 1 Breaches

Breaches classified as Level 1 come with a minimum penalty of an official reprimand, a maximum fine of 50% of the player's match fee, and the possibility of receiving one or two demerit points.

Pakistan Equalizes Series

In the match, Pakistan secured a 128-run victory over Bangladesh using the DLS method, leveling the three-match series. The final match will take place on Sunday.
