Concerns Over Financial Misconduct
The chairperson of the National Backward Classes Commission, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, has labeled the alleged financial irregularities at religious sites as a serious sin. She urged the public to await the findings of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) that is currently probing the misappropriation of donations for the Ram Temple. Speaking on Saturday, she emphasized the importance of patience until the investigation yields results.
Comments on Badrinath Donation Controversy
Addressing the Badrinath donation controversy, she expressed that it is positive that such issues are being brought to light. At least they are being openly exposed. An investigation will take place, and once it concludes, no one will dare to engage in such misconduct, regardless of the location or area. She firmly believes that committing such acts at religious sites is a grave sin. Following this controversy, political figures have called for an investigation. Samajwadi Party MP Sanatan Pandey accused those involved of undermining India's faith and insisted that all parties implicated should be investigated and held accountable, irrespective of their positions.
Call for Judicial Inquiry
Samajwadi Party MLA Ravidas Mehrotra has demanded a judicial inquiry into the Ram Temple donation issue, suggesting that it should be conducted by a Supreme Court or High Court judge. He alleged that the Uttar Pradesh government is attempting to divert attention and stated that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has no moral right to remain in power even for a day after these allegations. Mehrotra further claimed that the public is demanding the resignation of the Chief Minister, who is facing significant anger from the populace. He accused the Chief Minister of making false statements to distract from the real issues, especially now that the truth about the theft has come to light, leading to unfounded accusations.
