S8UL's Historic Qualification

S8UL, a prominent name in the esports and gaming sector, has successfully qualified for the 'Honor of Kings World Cup (KWC)' at the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026. This achievement follows their remarkable performance at the King's Arise India Qualifier.

Representing India on a Global Stage

With this qualification, S8UL will proudly represent India at the esteemed global tournament, where 20 elite teams from around the world will compete for a substantial prize pool of USD 3 million (approximately Rs 28.5 crore) from July 30 to August 8.

Meet the Winning Team

The roster of S8UL includes talented Indian players: Saad Sardar (Darkness), Hayrambh Monga (Meruem), Prabhat Mahato (Xtreme), Vishnu Khatri (XesoL), Rahul Lavhate (Kyurem), and the newly added Saurabh Jagadale (Kael). They are joined by Nepal's Suyog Paudel (Doofy) and China's Ang Xin Hao (Kong).

Path to the World Cup

The team advanced to the playoffs after winning the Kings' Arise City Tour - Mumbai. They kicked off their playoff journey with a 4-2 win against Resurrection Imp. in the quarterfinals, followed by a decisive 4-1 victory over GodLike Esports in the semifinals. This success secured their spot in KWC 2026, with the top two teams from the event moving forward. S8UL is set to face Revenant XSpark in the grand finals on May 17 to crown the champions of the India qualifier.

Insights from a Key Player

Saurabh Jagadale, known as Kael and the in-game leader of S8UL's Honor of Kings team, expressed, "Qualifying for the Honor of Kings World Cup is a monumental achievement for us. Every member of this team has put in tremendous effort over the past months to build synergy, adapt to each other's styles, and improve with each match. Representing S8UL on such a significant global platform is incredibly special. We are proud of our accomplishments thus far, but our focus is now on preparing for Riyadh and demonstrating our capability against the world's best teams."

S8UL's Ambitious Esports Strategy

For the second consecutive year, S8UL has been selected for the Esports Foundation's Club Partner Program. They have launched their most ambitious international campaign yet, competing in qualifiers for 13 different titles, including Apex Legends, BGMI, Call of Duty: Warzone, Chess, EA Sports FC, FATAL FURY, Fortnite, Honor of Kings, MOBA Legends 5v5, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, Street Fighter 6, TEKKEN 8, and Trackmania. Although they narrowly missed out on qualifying for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and fell short in the semifinals of the MOBA Legends 5v5 qualifiers, they have successfully qualified in both Fortnite and Honor of Kings, while still contending in other titles.

Nurturing Indian Talent

This year, S8UL has emphasized Indian participation alongside established international talent, ensuring that homegrown players are represented across various titles. A significant highlight of this initiative is their unique Talent Hunt Program for fighting games, which has selected six Indian athletes for FATAL FURY, Street Fighter 6, and TEKKEN 8. These players will benefit from professional coaching, fully funded tournament participation, travel support, a monthly stipend, and integration into S8UL's broader content ecosystem.

A Landmark for Indian Esports

"Qualifying for the Honor of Kings World Cup is a significant moment for us and a crucial milestone for Indian esports. It is particularly rewarding to see Indian players given the chance to represent the nation on one of the largest esports platforms globally. We have always believed in the potential of Indian talent to compete at the highest levels internationally, and this qualification is another step in that direction. At S8UL, we are dedicated to creating opportunities, building robust ecosystems, and providing players with the necessary support to thrive on the global stage," stated Animesh Agarwal, Co-founder and CEO of S8UL.

Expanding Global Presence

This latest qualification underscores S8UL's growing success across various esports titles on the international front. Recently, their Pokemon UNITE roster also qualified for the Pokemon UNITE World Championships, further enhancing S8UL's reputation across diverse esports ecosystems and increasing Indian representation on the global stage.
