S. Sreesanth's Allegations Against Harbhajan Singh

S. Sreesanth Accuses Harbhajan Singh of Betrayal Over IPL Controversy

During IPL 2026, the longstanding feud between Harbhajan Singh and S. Sreesanth has resurfaced, stemming from the infamous 'Slapgate' incident of IPL 2008. Sreesanth has accused Harbhajan of earning nearly 1 crore rupees from an advertisement related to this controversy. He believes that Harbhajan has deceived him, and while he has forgiven him, he has not forgotten the past.

Sreesanth expressed that the person he once referred to as 'brother' is now estranged from him. He has made serious allegations against Harbhajan Singh.

Details of the Allegations

In an interview with a Malayalam news outlet, Sreesanth stated,

“I have never spoken about Bhajji in any interview; this is the first time. Until recently, there was no issue, but he created an advertisement about it again. He earned around 80 lakhs to 1 crore from it and then called me to ask for a story post.”

He further added,

“I told him I would forgive him, but I will never forget. If someone wrongs you, you should forgive but never forget. If you forget, they will repeat the same mistake. He is the biggest example of that. There’s no doubt about it.”

End of Their Relationship

During the interview, Sreesanth also mentioned that he no longer has any relationship with Harbhajan Singh. He stated,

“I have no relationship with that person. I used to call him brother. But in the last month or two, he made that advertisement, and I have now blocked him on Instagram.”

Sreesanth concluded his remarks by saying,

“My parents taught me to forgive but never forget. I have no complaints against him, nor do I need him. May God bless him and his family. In many interviews, even with Ashwin, he spoke about my daughter. People might think, ‘Oh, what a great person he is.’ He might be a great person, but for me, since the time I played for India, it has all been a facade. This is a pretense I cannot accept.”
