Ruturaj Gaikwad Discusses CSK's Struggles

Reasons Behind CSK's Recent Losses

After the defeat against SRH, CSK's captain Ruturaj Gaikwad addressed the media during the post-match presentation, stating:

‘Based on how SRH performed in the powerplay, I anticipated they would score around 220-230 runs. Keeping them under 200 was certainly impressive. We needed just 80 runs in the next 10 overs, but we only managed to score four runs in the following two overs. Chasing 12 to 13 runs per over in the final overs is quite challenging.’

Praise for the Bowling Unit

Gaikwad Commends His Bowlers

Despite the loss to SRH, captain Ruturaj Gaikwad praised his bowlers, acknowledging their strong performance while noting the batting unit's shortcomings.

He remarked on his bowlers' efforts:

“This is the third consecutive match where our bowling unit has performed exceptionally well. I felt Abhishek played brilliantly in the powerplay. All the bowlers did well. Anshul Kamboj has been working hard on his bowling, especially in the final overs. It’s rare to find bowlers who have such clarity and can confidently tell the captain what they plan to do.”
