Promoting Unity in Diversity

In light of the increasing incidents of social tension across the country, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat emphasized the importance of unity and mutual respect. Speaking at an event in Sonpari village, Chhattisgarh, he asserted that India belongs to everyone and should not be judged based on caste, language, region, or economic status.

Concerns Following Racial Attack

This statement comes at a time when there is widespread concern following the death of Tripura student Anjel Chakma in a reported racial attack in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Reports indicate that Anjel was assaulted while attempting to protect his younger brother, who was allegedly subjected to racial slurs and called 'Chinese.' He succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.

Call for Ending Discrimination

According to available information, Bhagwat stated that the first condition for social harmony is to eliminate discrimination from the heart and to embrace everyone as part of the community. He highlighted that the entire nation belongs to all of us, and this sentiment is the true hallmark of social unity.

Equal Access for All

He further mentioned that everyone should have equal access to public spaces and religious sites, which should be viewed not as a point of contention but as a symbol of unity. According to him, this aligns with the fundamental spirit of the Constitution.

Reflections on Minority Issues

Notably, Bhagwat also addressed the rising incidents against minorities in Bangladesh, stressing the need for introspection and solutions in such circumstances. He asserted that a society that is strong from within cannot be easily shaken by crises.

Building Trust in Society

Discussing the issue of conversion, he pointed out that a significant reason behind it is the lack of mutual trust within society, which can only be restored by connecting with people at the grassroots level.

Path to Stability and Security

In conclusion, he stated that mutual understanding, trust, and equality are what stabilize and secure society, and this is the path that will lead the nation forward.
