RSS Chief Emphasizes Unity and Compassion in Hindu Community

Promoting Love and Kindness in Society
On Friday, Mohan Bhagwat, the leader of the RSS, highlighted the organization's mission to foster love and compassion within society, particularly aiming to unite the Hindu community. He expressed concern over the diminishing social affection in contemporary times, stating that the RSS is actively working to reinstate these essential values. Bhagwat made these remarks during the launch of a book dedicated to the life of renowned Ayurvedic physician Parshuram Yashwant Vaidya Khadiwale at the Bal Gandharva Auditorium.
The Essence of Togetherness
During the event, Bhagwat articulated that the RSS's mission is to ensure that the entire Hindu society remains united through a sense of belonging and affection. He was addressing the gathering at the book release event honoring the late P.Y. Khadiwale, popularly known as 'Vaidya Khadiwale.'
The Role of Affection in Humanity
Bhagwat remarked, 'Unlike animals, humans possess intelligence. The wise use of this intelligence can lead to improvement, but misusing it can lead to deterioration. The only thing that prevents this decline is the feeling of love and belonging.' He noted that there are instances where individuals lean towards negativity when they become selfish. Conversely, those who gravitate towards love and compassion attain a divine essence, as exemplified by Khadiwale's life journey.
Reviving Forgotten Values
He emphasized that the RSS works to remind society of the importance of love, belonging, and compassion, values that are often overlooked in today's world. Bhagwat stated, 'The RSS teaches individuals that if someone shows affection towards you, you should reciprocate with the same love and compassion. Our goal is to ensure that the entire Hindu community remains bound by these feelings of belonging and affection.'
A Global Responsibility
The RSS chief asserted that the Hindu community has taken on the responsibility of uniting the world through a sense of togetherness. He mentioned that while the term 'giving back' has recently gained popularity in English, this sentiment has been inherent in Indian culture for a long time.
