Roundglass Hockey Academy's Journey to the Finals
The Roundglass Hockey Academy (RGHA) has successfully advanced to the finals of the International Youth Hockey Cup 2026 (U-18) held in Sydney, Australia. Under the guidance of coach Vikas Pal and Team Manager Sanjeev Kumar, the team showcased remarkable tactical discipline and offensive strength, achieving five consecutive victories to maintain an unblemished record against international teams.
Outstanding Performance in the Group Stage
The academy kicked off their tournament with an impressive 8-0 victory against the New South Wales Lions. They continued their winning streak with a decisive 5-0 win over Team Majulah Singapore, followed by a challenging 5-2 victory against the NSW Singhs.
In their fourth match, RGHA dominated Bobby Academy with a commanding 6-1 score. They concluded the group stage with another strong performance, defeating Shepparton Hockey Academy 7-1.
Final Matchup and Record Highlights
As a result of their stellar performance, Roundglass Hockey Academy finished the group stage undefeated, with the NSW Singhs securing second place. The Singhs won three matches, drawing one and losing another, accumulating 10 points. Bobby Academy finished third with 9 points.
Throughout the tournament, RGHA scored a total of 31 goals while conceding only four, demonstrating exceptional offensive capabilities and defensive strength.
The academy is now on the brink of adding another international title to their collection, having previously won the Sikh Union Club Nairobi Centenary Celebrations Hockey Tournament in Kenya earlier this year.
