During this announcement, Rohit Sharma expressed his enthusiasm, stating, 'I am thrilled to invest in Prozo. This company is becoming the backbone of India's new era of business.' This indicates that Rohit is ready to leverage his understanding and planning skills beyond the cricket field.
Prozo's Expansive Reach
Prozo's Extensive Network
Founded in 2016, Prozo is not just a small startup; it is rapidly establishing itself in the supply chain and logistics sector. The company operates 42 tech-enabled warehouses, covering over 2.2 million square feet. Additionally, Prozo delivers to more than 24,000 pin codes and is currently operating on a revenue run-rate of ₹250 crores.
To date, Prozo has raised a total of $20 million (approximately ₹160 crores) in funding, with significant contributions from major investors like Sixth Sense Ventures and Jafco Asia. Rohit Sharma's investment is a testament to Prozo's promising future and its potential to bring significant changes to India's e-commerce and logistics landscape.

Making a Mark in Business
This investment marks a new chapter in Rohit Sharma's career. After achieving remarkable success in cricket, he now aims to leave his mark in the business world. Rohit has consistently demonstrated his strategic thinking, whether it involves dominating bowlers on the field or making wise investment choices.
By investing in Prozo, Rohit has shown that he is not just a cricketer but also a savvy investor. The supply chain and logistics sector is rapidly growing in India, and Rohit has seized this opportunity. This investment could prove beneficial for him while also providing Prozo with a significant brand name that will aid in its growth.
Retirement from Test Cricket
Rohit Retires from Test Cricket
Recently, Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from Test cricket, having already stepped away from the T20 format. However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has retained his A+ grade contract in recognition of his contributions. BCCI Secretary Devjeet Saikia informed a news agency that, 'The A+ grade contracts for Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will continue, even though they have retired from T20 and Test cricket. They remain integral to Indian cricket and will continue to receive all A+ grade benefits.'
Under the A+ grade contract, players receive an annual retainer of ₹7 crores. If Rohit and Virat were demoted to A grade, they would only receive ₹5 crores, resulting in a loss of ₹2 crores annually. However, BCCI has shown confidence in these two stars by maintaining their A+ contracts.
