Rohini Acharya's Strong Words Against Family and Party Leadership

Rohini Acharya has launched a pointed critique at her brother, Tejashwi Yadav, a prominent leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), without naming him directly. In a strongly worded post on social media, she expressed that external forces are not needed to destroy a "great legacy"; internal conflicts among family members are sufficient. Her remarks suggest that arrogance and misguided advice from certain relatives are driving them to erase the very identity that brought them recognition.

In her post on X, she stated that it does not take outsiders to dismantle a "great legacy" that has been built with great effort; rather, a few scheming "newly minted insiders" are enough. It is particularly shocking when those who are responsible for one's identity and existence become eager to erase those very markers under external influence.

Acharya pointed out that when reason is clouded and arrogance takes over, it leads to destruction, as it blinds one’s intellect and judgment. This controversy has emerged following the RJD's significant defeat in the electoral arena. In the Bihar Assembly elections, the NDA secured a commanding majority, while the RJD managed to win only 25 out of over 140 seats. The BJP and JDU won 89 and 85 seats, respectively, allowing the NDA coalition to surpass the 200-seat mark in the 243-member assembly.

The RJD's allied parties also faced severe losses, with Congress winning just six seats and the leftist parties performing poorly. The newly formed Jan Suraj Party, led by Prashant Kishor, failed to secure any seats. Following the RJD's dismal performance, Rohini announced her exit from politics and her decision to sever ties with her family. In an emotional post, she accused Tejashwi Yadav and his close associate, RJD MP Sanjay Yadav, of verbally abusing and humiliating her after she questioned the party leadership regarding its poor results.
