RLJP Expels Akash Yadav Amid Controversy with Tej Pratap Yadav

In a notable turn of events related to the ongoing dispute between Anushka Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav, the Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) has expelled Akash Yadav, Anushka's brother, from the party for a duration of six years. This decision was made by the party's national president, Pashupati Kumar Paras. Akash had been actively engaging with the media in support of his sister and RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav, drawing considerable attention. His frequent public appearances and comments seemingly did not sit well with the RLJP leadership.

 

Following his statements to the media, the party initiated disciplinary action against him, citing indiscipline and actions contrary to party policies as the reasons for his expulsion. Akash had expressed his disapproval of Tej Pratap Yadav's removal from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and lamented the 'character assassination' of his sister, Anushka. A photo of Anushka with former Bihar minister Tej Pratap was shared on social media, claiming they had been in a relationship for 12 years, although it was later deleted. Akash has also demanded an investigation into Tej Pratap's assertion that the Facebook page where the photo was posted had been hacked. Akash is known to be a close friend of Tej Pratap.

 

Akash stated, 'I strongly condemn the expulsion of Tej Pratap Yadav from the party. I want to ask Lalu ji why this action was taken? Did he commit any offense that could tarnish his family's reputation?' He avoided questions regarding the controversial Facebook post where Tej Pratap allegedly mentioned being in a '12-year relationship' with Anushka. Akash remarked, 'It is not my place to speak about my sister's personal life in front of the press. This is not a public matter. Only she and Tej Pratap can comment on it if they wish.' However, he expressed regret over the 'character assassination' of Anushka since the Facebook post surfaced on Saturday evening.
