These soldiers were part of a logistics unit from Iowa, stationed at a defenseless shipping facility. A seventh soldier succumbed to injuries sustained during a March 1 attack on the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia.

Later in March, six service members lost their lives when a KC-135 refueling aircraft, involved in operations against Iran, crashed in Iraq under unclear circumstances while in 'friendly' airspace. Additionally, on Monday, a Navy pilot died in a helicopter crash in the Arabian Sea, initially described as an emergency landing, with no signs of hostile action. Three other sailors aboard were rescued.

On Saturday, US Central Command reported that two service members were killed in Jordan while responding to Iranian missile and drone strikes, with one American soldier currently unaccounted for. The military has withheld further details, including the identities of the deceased, pending family notifications.

The impact of the conflict extends beyond American forces. Iranian officials have reported at least 50 fatalities and over 500 injuries from US strikes in recent weeks, including eight deaths from a strike on a bridge. Civilians, foreign workers, and individuals in Gulf nations, Israel, and Lebanon have also suffered casualties due to the ongoing hostilities.
