Rishabh Pant Sets New Records in England Test Series

Rishabh Pant's Historic Performance at Lord's
India's vice-captain, Rishabh Pant, made headlines with his remarkable batting display on Day 3 of the third Test against England at the iconic Lord's cricket ground. His performance not only entertained fans but also secured his place in cricket history.
Pant broke the record for the most sixes hit in Test matches against England, surpassing the legendary Vivian Richards. Additionally, he matched former captain Rohit Sharma's record for the second-highest number of sixes by an Indian in Test cricket.
Breaking MS Dhoni's Record
In a stunning display of skill, the 27-year-old Pant surpassed MS Dhoni to become the Indian wicketkeeper-batter with the highest runs scored during a tour of England. He also made history as the first visiting wicketkeeper to score over 400 runs in a single Test series in England.
Despite dealing with a finger injury sustained on the first day of the Test, Pant showcased his resilience, scoring 74 runs off 112 balls. His innings included two massive sixes, allowing him to break Richards' record for the most sixes against England in Test matches.
Pant's Impressive Series Performance
With a total of 416 runs in three Tests, Pant has set a new record for the most runs by an Indian wicketkeeper on English soil. This record was previously held by Dhoni, who scored 349 runs during India's 2014 tour of England.
Unfortunately, Pant's innings came to an end just before the first session concluded. In an attempt to take a quick single, he was caught short of the crease by England's captain Ben Stokes, who executed a brilliant throw to dismiss him.
