Additionally, other players in the final eleven, including the impact player, were each penalized ₹12 lakh.


According to a media release from the IPL, this fine was imposed as it marked the third offense of the season related to slow over rates for Pant's team. Hence, he was fined ₹30 lakh.


The release further stated, 'Each of the other players in the final eleven, including the impact player, has been fined ₹12 lakh or 50% of their match fee, whichever is lower.'
