Guwahati, Dec 30: Filmmaker Rima Das has been awarded the prestigious New York Women in Film and Television (NYWFT) Award for Excellence in Directing 2025 for her recent film Village Rockstars 2.


This year, she is among 11 international filmmakers honored for their significant contributions to the film industry.


In response to this accolade, Das expressed that this recognition is profoundly meaningful to her storytelling journey. She emphasized that the award signifies not just a personal milestone but also validates that authentic narratives from India can transcend borders.
