The Roundglass Hockey Academy (RGHA) girls' team showcased an outstanding performance, clinching the title at the Bholath Hockey Cup 2026 (Women) by decisively defeating GNDU Amritsar with a score of 5-1. This thrilling final took place on Sunday at the Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium in Jalandhar.
Commanding Performance in the Final
Under the leadership of captain Baljeet Kaur, the RGHA girls took control of the match right from the start. They established a 1-0 lead in the first quarter and extended it to 2-0 just before halftime. A remarkable three-goal surge in the third quarter effectively secured their championship victory, showcasing their offensive strength and teamwork. Although GNDU Amritsar managed to score a consolation goal in the final quarter, RGHA maintained their dominance to finish the match at 5-1.

In the semifinal held on Saturday, RGHA faced a tough opponent in BSF Jalandhar, emerging victorious with a 3-1 scoreline. They quickly took a 2-0 lead within the first 15 minutes, thanks to two successful penalty corner conversions, and capped off the match with an impressive field goal in the 50th minute, demonstrating their tactical skills and defensive strength.
